Mendoza (cross-Andes transport) Critical Delays |
10 Sept 2026 - The international road connecting Mendoza to Chilean ports closed again in the evening on Sept 9, 2026 and is estimated to remain closed until Saturday, depending on weather and road conditions. Repeated and lengthy closures this season has created severe delays and booking holds. Alternative routings should be considered through at least mid-September, subject to change. Note from May to September, wine shipments routed through Chilean ports (Valparaiso or San Antonio) can face heavy delays. Contact Hillebrand Gori for seasonal solutions with bonded warehousing, routing via Buenos Aires, and temperature protection options. |
