South America Argentina Mendoza (cross-Andes transport) 18 May 2026 - The international road connecting Mendoza to Chilean ports was reopened following a winter closure. From May to September, wine shipments routed through Chilean ports (Valparaiso or San Antonio) can face delays. Heavy snowfall along the Andes pass often disrupts the crossing between Argentina and Chile. Vessel operations at present are continuing, but no container movements are possible at this terminal and at this stage there is no estimated date of conclusion. STI Terminal and Valparaiso are still operational but starting to see delays as well.
