Bulk logistics

Originally referred to as a tank container, the ISO tank takes its name by conforming to ISO container building regulations.  It is made from stainless steel and surrounded by an insulation and protective layer, usually polyurethane and aluminum. It is a reusable tank that can transport hazardous and non-hazardous liquid.
We offer worldwide equipment and transportation solutions across flexitank, ISO tank and smaller intermediate bulk pack modalities.
Yes! ISO tanks and flexitanks can be used to store the product they carry. Hillebrand flexitanks can be stored in or out of a container, depending on the environment and length of storage required. So in this instance, the footprint in storage cost can be less in comparison to a full container of pallets
Hillebrand's flexitanks range is designed in-house by a team of engineers who focus specifically on product quality control and protection. We have flexitanks and ISO tanks available and will help customer best match equipment to product need.  When choosing equipment we take into consideration product compatibility, barrier technology needs and the capabilities at origin and destination to manage that equipment properly.
Sometimes referred to as a Flexibag, the Flexitank is a pillow like flexible container that carries bulk liquids.  Made from polyethylene, this solution can accommodate, approx. double the amount of liquid shipped in a 20ft container versus cased products.
Flexitanks, commonly referred to as single layer or multi layer types are available and can adopt various configurations and accessories, depending on customer and product requirements.  At Hillebrand, being a fully integrated bulk logistics provider, we have the ability to custom design incorporating material compositions, valves, barriers, vents, bulkheads and more, depending our customers needs.
Hillebrand uniquely ensures member of our technical response team is available anywhere in the world, any time of day or night.  Ready to respond at short notice, they are armed with documented emergency response procedures and years of experience in incident management.
Beverages, edible oils, cocoa and other food ingredients travel the world under constant threat of contamination and oxidation. Contamination can even come from the flexitank itself unless it’s one engineered specifically to safeguard liquid consumables.  Hillebrand flexitanks are produced in a sterile FSSC22000 environment, to surpass the exacting standards of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and we have full traceability over the materials we use.
Hillebrand offers a wide range of in-house designed and manufactured flexitanks.  We research and produce flexitanks to specifically carry industrial, pharmaceutical and consumable products.  We pay close attention to what the products we carry need to keep them safe and in optimum condition to destination.  See our range of flexitanks: https://hillebrand.com/flexitanks-pages/flexitank-range
By shipping in bulk you’ll be transporting the equivalent of two 20ft containers of packaged product for around the price of one
We have a strict criteria and selection process for any active operational partners we work with.  Regular auditing of depots and technical staff, alongside in-depth and continuous training ensures our standards of safety are kept high.
In short yes, but not with Hillebrand.  Our flexitanks are carefully designed and created and we make sure, where we can, they are recycled.  Which is why we insist on carrying out the freight on all our flexitanks. Fitting can be managed on-site, with training from our team of experts. If you are considering buying a flexitank and carrying out your own fitting and freight you should consider carrier letters of indemnity, container selection challenges particularly in current market and liabilities associated to fitting in case of leakage.
Hillebrand research shows, based on a 20ft container, a flexitank reduces emissions per litre by -38% compared to cased goods on the same routing
